QR Beers

Billing Policy

Last updated: September 3, 2026

This page describes how QR Beers billing actually works today: how a paid plan starts, what happens if a payment fails, how to cancel, and what changes when a plan does. It is a plain description of the current product, not a substitute for the Terms of Service, which govern the relationship as a whole.

1. Plans

QR Beers offers a Free plan and two paid plans, Pro and Imperial, priced as shown on the pricing page. A brewery's plan can be set two ways: by subscribing through Stripe Checkout, or by a manual grant from QR Beers — for example the founding-breweries programme, which gives the first 25 breweries Imperial free for a year. A manual grant is tracked separately from a Stripe subscription so a subscription event can never silently overwrite it.

2. Starting a paid plan

Upgrading from the dashboard starts a subscription through Stripe Checkout. Stripe handles your payment details directly; QR Beers never sees or stores your card number. A subscription renews automatically each billing period at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel.

3. If a payment fails

If a renewal charge fails, your plan keeps working for 14 days while Stripe retries the charge. If the retry succeeds within that window, nothing changes. If it does not, your account reverts to the Free plan's limits — your pages, beers, batches and already-connected QR codes are not deleted, but you may not be able to connect new codes above the Free plan's limit until you resolve payment or upgrade again.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the billing portal, reached from the dashboard's billing page. The same portal lets you update your payment method and view invoices. Cancelling stops future charges; your plan continues at its current tier until the end of the period you already paid for, then reverts to Free.

5. Refunds

QR Beers does not have a published refund policy yet. If you believe you were charged in error, write to hello@qrbeers.com and we will look at it — but nothing here should be read as promising a refund in any particular case until that policy is written.

6. Price changes

We will tell you before a price change affects a subscription you already have.

7. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Rojocuadrado LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions: hello@qrbeers.com.
